BD Vacutainer™ Plastic Blood Collection Tubes with K2 EDTA are designed for safe, reliable blood collection and accurate hematology testing. Spray-coated with K2EDTA—the anticoagulant of choice for specimen collection and complete blood counts—these tubes ensure proper preservation of cell morphology and sample integrity.
Each tube requires just eight to ten gentle inversions to thoroughly mix the blood with the anticoagulant. Made from durable PET plastic, BD Vacutainer tubes provide a safer alternative to glass, reducing the risk of breakage during transport, processing, and centrifugation. This durability supports smoother workflow, fewer redraws, and enhanced safety for clinical staff.
The Hemogard™ closure further elevates safety by preventing direct contact with blood on the stopper or tube rim. Its protective shield reduces exposure to splatter when opening and isolates residual blood from the needle during collection.
BD Vacutainer tubes are trusted in hospital, diagnostic, and research laboratories for their consistent performance and compliance with modern clinical standards.
