Manufacturer Code:
- Coarse: 2382C
- Medium: 2382M
- Brand: Sof-Lex XT
- Method: Extra-Thin Single-Sided Pop-On Finishing & Polishing Disc
- Packaging: Export Package
- Usage: Interproximal Finishing & Polishing / Composite & Resin Restoration Contouring / High-Luster Surface Refinement
Sof-Lex XT Extra Thin Finishing and Polishing Discs deliver precise interproximal finishing and high-luster polishing of composite and resin-based restorations. The extra-thin, slightly stiffer disc construction provides enhanced access to tight interproximal spaces where standard-thickness discs may be difficult to maneuver, while the pop-on attachment system enables quick, effortless disc changes between grit levels without the need for additional tools. Available in Coarse (2382C) for initial contouring and Medium (2382M) for intermediate surface smoothing and finishing.
Key Features:
- Extra-Thin Disc Construction: The reduced disc thickness provides superior access to interproximal surfaces and confined restorative areas where standard finishing discs cannot reach, supporting comprehensive surface refinement across all accessible restoration zones.
- Slightly Stiffer Design: The enhanced disc stiffness compared to standard Sof-Lex discs improves interproximal tracking and control during finishing, reducing disc deflection and supporting more consistent abrasive contact across the target surface.
- Pop-On Attachment System: The pop-on mandrel design allows for rapid, tool-free disc changes between grit levels, streamlining the multi-step finishing and polishing sequence and reducing overall procedure time during restoration refinement.
- Single-Sided Abrasive: The single-sided disc construction concentrates the abrasive surface on the working face only, providing controlled, directional material removal and reducing the risk of inadvertent abrasion to adjacent tooth surfaces or soft tissue.
- Coarse Grit (2382C): Optimized for initial contouring and gross shaping of composite restorations, efficiently removing excess material and establishing the correct occlusal anatomy and surface contour before progressing to finer finishing steps.
- Medium Grit (2382M): Suited for intermediate finishing and surface smoothing following initial contouring, refining the restoration surface and reducing coarse scratches in preparation for final high-luster polishing.
